Who we are

LEGAL ENTITY NAME operates a car service in Marin County, San Francisco, Sonoma County, East Bay. You can reach us at BUSINESS PHONE, info@ridelikeroyals.com, or BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS.

This policy is written primarily for California residents, who make up most of our customers.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to plan and complete your ride:

  • Your name, mobile number and email address.
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses, and any contact address you give us.
  • Trip details: date and time, passenger and luggage counts, vehicle preference, and any notes you add.
  • Flight details when your trip involves an airport — terminal, airline and flight number — so we can meet you at the right place and adjust for a delayed landing.
  • Your ride history with us, so a returning customer does not have to explain themselves twice.
  • Basic technical information when you use the site, such as your IP address and browser, used to keep the service working and to prevent abuse.
  • A record of your consent to receive text messages: when you gave it, from what IP address, and the exact wording you agreed to.

Why we collect it

To arrange and carry out the ride you asked for, to confirm it with you, to remind you before pickup, and to give your driver the details they need to collect you.

To keep a record of what was agreed — the price, the address and the time — so that a later question can be answered accurately.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Who we share it with

Your driver receives what they need to complete your ride: your name, mobile number, pickup and drop-off details, and any notes relevant to the trip.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • A messaging provider, to send booking confirmations and reminders by text.
  • An email provider, to send confirmations and calendar invitations.
  • A mapping and address provider, to look up and standardise addresses you enter.

We do not currently take payment through this site, so no payment processor receives your information. If that changes, this policy will be updated to name the processor before any payment is taken.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records — the trip, the price agreed, and the contact details as they were at the time — for seven years after the date of the ride, in line with standard business and tax record-keeping.

We keep records of your consent to receive text messages for four years after you opt out, or after the last message we sent you, whichever is later. Consent evidence has to outlive the period in which it could be questioned.

When a retention period ends, the record is deleted.

Your rights

California residents may ask us to tell them what personal information we hold about them, to delete it, or to correct it. You may also ask us not to sell or share it — although we do neither.

To make a request, contact info@ridelikeroyals.com or call BUSINESS PHONE. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Before we act on a request to delete or disclose your information, we confirm it is really you: we send a one-time code to the phone number or email address already on file for you, and you give it back to us. We do not ask for identity documents.

We respond within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why before that period is up, and we may extend it once.

Notice at collection

We tell you what we are collecting at the point we collect it — on the booking form — rather than only here.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any such tool is switched on.

Children

You must be 18 or older to book with us — a booking creates a contract and involves payment. Our service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
